TKU Cooperates to Create Medical Center

In recent years universities all over the world have vigorously adopted new academic industry study programs and internships in order to prevent falling behind. Enterprises have been providing more opportunities for students to get hands on experience and professional skills, which is mutually beneficial for development in universities as well as the industrial world. Tamkang University’s Department of Mass Communication has begun a program titled, “Social Sales and Practicality Course” that is different from the pack as it works with a non-profit organization: “Liver Treatment Academic Foundation (LTAF)” to create the Good Hearted Liver Medical Center.

Professor of the Department of Mass Communication, Yu-pei Ma, will be teaching the Social Sales and Practicality Course and had this to say, “We are very grateful to the LTAF for their support to jointly build the Good Hearted Liver Medical Center. This will give students an opportunity to learn how to come in contact with the community, promote themselves and find innovative methods of practical sales. They will also learn a great deal about planning and working with a foundation. At the end of the project they will be evaluated and awarded according to their achievements.” The final assessment will be done by professors, members of the organization and other sales experts. Students will be able to share their product results with the public as they reach the final week of the program.

Director of the Department of Mass Communication, Huei-chun Chi, expressed, “The combination of the knowledge of this department with this welfare service foundation is certain to bring some wonderful developments in society. Students will attain hands-on experience and will be able to realize academic theories.”
