20 teams took part in the recent grand final event of the 9th Hiwin Intelligent Robot Contest, held at the Nangang Exhibition Center. The TKU contingent, known as the Robot Research Team, was led by professor Ching-Chang Wong, Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, along with Tsai Chi-Yi.

As in previous years, the TKU Robot Research Team stole the show, claiming championship spots in two separate categories. More specifically, the TKU Made in Taiwan (MIT) Hornet group – which invented the 6DOF robotic arm – earned first place in the development category, while the Tamkang Shang Ying group received first spot in the applied category.
