The orientation event was attended by the President of TKU, Dr. Flora Chia-I Chang, the Vice-President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Huan-Chao Keh, the Vice-President for Administrative Affairs, Dr. Yi-jun Hu, the Vice-President for International Affairs, Dr. Wan-chin Tai, and the Dean of International Affairs, Dr. Pei Wha Chi Lee, as well as senior-level staff and faculty from every TKU college and department.

A total of 700 international and exchange students took part in the event, and were accompanied by local members of various organizations, such as the Federation of Overseas Chinese Association, the Malaysian Student Association, and many others.
