International Culture Week is currently being held at the Black Swan Exhibition Hall, Tamsui Campus. The week-long exhibition commenced March 26, with an opening ceremony consisting of traditional Chinese lion dances, opening remarks from the Vice President for International Affairs, Dr. Kao-Cheng Wang, and a ribbon-cutting ritual carried out jointly by many high-level TKU faculty members, including the General Secretary of Tamkang University, Dr. Andy Liou, the Dean of the College of Engineering, Dr. Tzung-Hang Lee, the Dean of the College of Foreign Languages and Literature, Dr. Wan-Bau Wu, and the Dean of Physical Education, Chen I-Cheng.

The event features specialty foods and other items from many countries around the world, and was organized jointly by a number of TKU student organizations. With the theme ‘Worldwide Odyssey,’ the exhibition aims to enhance participants’ awareness of foreign cultures by providing a space that replicates an airport – the site where travelers start their journey.

International Culture Week runs until March 29. For more information, please visit the official Facebook fan page of the event:
