The results gained by Tamkang University under its University Social Responsibility (USR) program were recently affirmed, as its applications for three separate USR projects were approved, amounting to a total USR subsidy in the 2020-21 academic year of NT $13.1 million. That figure is more than double the subsidy received for the two approved projects in the previous academic year.

The Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Chii-Dong Ho, pointed to the close relationship between Tamkang University and the broader Tamsui district. He also noted that TKU boasts a wealth of talented and professional graduates capable of carrying out research on the culture of the Tamsui region, while also pushing for the sustainable development of Tamsui. “Through professional service learning courses, TKU has strengthened its bond with its surrounding area. Moreover, its dual emphasis on the Higher Education Sprout Project and the TKU Development Project has helped to lay a solid foundation for future growth.”
