Kendo Club Won Men's & Women's Double Team Champions in the National Student Championships

The Kendo Club participated and performed outstandingly in the "45th National Student Kendo Championships" hosted by the Republic of China Kendo Association at the Taipei Gymnasium from March 27th to 28th. The club defeated many universities including Taiwan University and won the men's and women's team score match champion in the college group.

The 27th is the team competition, divided into scoring and clearance tournaments, and the 28th is the individual competition. In addition to the double champions of the team scoring competition, Hong-Yi Shih, a senior of the Department of Chemical and Materials Engineering won fourth place in the men's competition. Jia-Rong Tsai, a senior of the Department of English won fifth place in the women's competition in the college. Club President Shao-Yu Lien, a junior of the Department of Japanese said, "Everyone performed impeccably within this competition, and they were able to win the championship with sufficient physical strength and momentum. I’m touched by the fact that the new players also worked hard in the individual competitions. "Hopefully, in our future competitions, we will be able to obtain great results just like our predecessors!"
