On Saturday, April 7, Tamkang University’s Office of Academic Affairs held the 2012 High School Fair. The annual event introduces high school students to Tamkang’s numerous departments and provides such students with information on how to apply to TKU, including sample interview questions and a general overview of the application process. This year, it also allowed prospective future students to experience local Tamsui delicacies, culture, and well-known local tourist destinations.

One of the visiting high school students from Fuxing Senior High School, Taipei City, commented: “Although I go to school in Taipei City, I live right near Tamkang University, so I’ve always been interested in Tamkang. This opportunity to become more familiar with TKU has allowed me to set clear goals regarding getting into Tamkang University”.

The fair also enabled prospective students to sample the local Tamsui food and learn about Tamkang’s diverse student clubs and associations. There were food stalls set up by local Tamsui vendors (from Old Street) and performances by numerous clubs, such as the Guitar Club, Magic Club, and Ballroom Dancing Club.

There were also raffles and prize giveaways, in which one lucky student won an iphone4s.
