Administrative Director of the EMBA, Chiang-Feng Lin, stated, “Having an opportunity to invite an elite member of the professional and political world to share his experience and success will impact the students' lives forever.” Dean of the College of Business and Management, Chien-liang Chiu, also noted, “Having the chance to hear the experiences of a high ranking government official will help the students expand their horizons and grow into excellent business and management personnel.”

Governor Junq-tzer Lin has worked as the Mayor of Xinzhu and also as a Member of Legislative Yuan, giving him an abundance of information and ideas for young professionals to draw from. Everyone waited with great anticipation to be able to learn the secret of his success. Governor Junq-tzer Lin expressed, “There are no secrets, you simply have to stay on your path until you make your mark! Life only happens once so be sure not to miss any opportunities. Many people believe that you have to be daring to be successful, but this can bring additional and unwanted stress. You just need to utilize and expand all of your own abilities and talents.” He closed the lecture with 6 key points of how to be successful, “Work responsibly at your career, make a plan and manage your time well, pay attention to your physical health, maintain a calm and healthy mind, continue to increase your knowledge and always be of good service to society.” All of the students and teachers were elated to have such unique and beneficial experience. It is the hope of the EMBA Department to continue to invite high-esteemed individuals to help with the cultivation of the students.
