TKU Forms Strategic Alliance With Taipei Mnicipal Ming Lun High School

In accordance with the promotion of the Ministry of Education’s “University Assistance For Outstanding High School Students Plan”, Tamkang University has signed an agreement with Taipei Municipal Ming Lun High School that covers four areas: curriculum support, teacher development, basic cultivation, and additional cooperation. The agreement is designed to exchange resources between the high school and university so that high school students can begin developing through self-exploration and a more versatile curriculum. This will also help high school students prepare for the university lifestyle.

The ceremony for the alliance between Tamkang University and Taipei Municipal Ming Lun High School took place in the Ching-sheng International Conference Hall on December 26th. The official signing of the agreement took place between the President of Tamkang University, Chia-I Chang and the President of Taipei Municipal Lun High School, Wen-chu Wang. President Chang stated, “The university’s responsibilities pertain to academics, research, administration and services. Our university is currently laying out the groundwork to offer services that would make the transition from high school to university much easier on students.” President Chang then explained the educational ideology of the “Three Circles and Five Disciplines of Education,” and how it is crucial for the students to find a balanced system of learning.

The President Wen-chu Wang responded, “I’m grateful to have the opportunity to work with Tamkang University. This will really help nurture the potential in our students and raise their level of learning. I’m impressed with Tamkang University’s system of testing and modern methods of education. I hope that our schools can work together for a long time, sending students straight from our high school to your university. Let us cooperate to create a bridge to the future.”
