Lanyang's Graduation Ceremony is Held in the New Shao-mo Memorial Activity Center

On June 7th Lanyang Campus held their 6th annual graduation ceremony in the newly constructed Shao-mo Memorial Activity Center. The ceremony was hosted by President Flora Chia-I Chang as she expressed congratulations to graduates from the Department of Business and Management, the Department of Engineering, and the Department of Social Sciences. Special guest included Head Government Official of Yilian County Farm Industries, Ching-an Chou, who represented Yilan County’s Legislative Councilor, Tsung-yuan Chiang. Also in attendance were Vice Presidents Gwo-hsing Lu, Po-yuan Kao, and Wan-chin Tai.

President Chang stated, “The theme of this graduation is the Three Circles and Five Disciplines Education System Brings Prestige to Future Careers. Tamkang University has been ranked number one as the most desired graduates for employment by 2000 Taiwanese enterprises for 17 years in a row. I believe that today’s graduating students will truly benefit from this esteemed reputation in the near future. Take the teachings and blessings of your professors to create new and magnificent opportunities.”

There were 173 individuals in attendance for the graduation ceremony and students carried fresh flowers and various symbols promising success. The atmosphere of Lanyang’s graduation ceremony closely resembled that of the Oscar Film Awards. Among the excitement they presented Student Awards, Leadership Awards, International Awards and awards for outstanding performances. As part of tradition the ceremony ended with the graduation students singing, “Proud of You”.
