Tamkang University Celebrates Teach Learn and Share Week

Education is the root of development in every society and it leads into the direction of new advancements. In recent years the core education at Tamkang University has made the terms “teaching” and “learning” increasingly interchangeable. In order to promote student organization automation, the Center for Learning and Teaching will be holding “Teach, Learn and Share Week” from May 7th until May 15th on Tamsui Campus. This event will provide an opportunity for students, teachers and educational specialists to have an interactive exchange.

This event was divided into five different parts for sharing achievements and development ideas. The first section was hosted by Executive Director of the Center for Learning and Teaching, Chia-Cheng Yu and focused on “Professors Specialized Growth.” Second, head of the Teacher Curriculum Development Organization, Hung-yen Angela Sung, presented the achievements of teaching assistants. Third, Library Director, Sheue-fang Song, presented the reading achievement awards. Fourth, Director of Student Learning and Development, Ju-chieh Huang, presented the student organization achievements. Finally the Dean of the Office of International Affairs, Pei-wha Chilee, presented the achievements for the international Distance Learning program.

In order to encourage students for their effort and studies, President Flora Chia-I Chang, personally presented selected students with a certificate of appreciation for leadership and mentoring. Chia-cheng Yu stated, “The Center for Learning and Teaching has been actively promoting student group automation and international studies. This semester we will focus on technological advancements.”
