On May 9th the Department of Mass Communication held the 28th annual graduation and achievement exhibition for the student group, “Strongberry.” They will travel to Huashan 1914 Creative Park with 17 other academic institutions. Together they addressed issues of combining creative innovations with services and products that would tend to members of society with special needs including the elderly, and mentally or physically challenged individuals. They were successful in developing 11 different products that were displayed and share with the community.

Organizer of the graduation exhibition, You-ru Li, stated, “The name Strongberry is a play on words that symbolizes the personality of the group. This year students developed their products by first investigating the different needs of people in our community. This type of project really lets us have a better understanding of ourselves and how we can directly affect our world in a positive way. Utilizing our knowledge of media and tailoring it to help those in need, is the backbone of Strongberry.” After returning from the Huashan 1914 Creative Park on the 13th their products will be displayed in the Black Swan Exhibition Hall for everyone to enjoy. Many Taiwanese foundations and organizations will cooperate to perfect these products and promote them throughout Taiwan. What was once creative ideas and designs on paper will be a reality.
