The 2015 Zhejiang University of Technology Summer Campus Trip

The College of Science

In recent years, the academic Cross Straits relationship has been strengthening as young students from China continue travelling to Taiwan in increasing number for various activities and workshops. The College of Science, Zhejiang University of Technology and the College of engineering held a forum for young students with emphasis on mutual support and development of the Cross Straits. Students participated in this insightful 15-day exchange from July 26th to August 9th which was titled, “The 2015 Zhejiang University of Technology Summer Campus Trip.”

Former Dean of the College of Science and current Dean of Research and Development, Bo-chang Wang, expressed, “Over the years, the College of Science has adopted diverse methods of teaching and instruction including the Chung-ling Science Fair, Chemistry Mobile and many other service teams that travel around to present the knowledge of science. Holding camps for high schools and junior highs, allows us to put important information directly into the hands of our future society. This summer exchange will stimulate enrollment and cultivate future personnel of our community.”

The 2015 Zhejiang University of Technology Summer Campus Trip organized activities following three different themes: Professional Curriculum, Experimental Research and Visiting the Career World. Each of the programs allowed students to come in direct contact with their plausible future careers through research, analysis, simulations, demonstrations and experiments. Deputy Dean of Zhejiang University of Tehcnology, Guo-jun Peng, expressed, “I‘m grateful to Tamkang University for arranging such a great curriculum that allowed students to grasp detailed academic information in a way they can remember and apply.”
