Tamkang Shines at University Expo, Faculty and Students Unite in Recruitment EffortsThe “2024 University and Technological College Multiple Entrance Expo” kicked off on March 2, with our faculty and students working hard in recruitment, attracting continuous crowds.

On March 2 to 3, the Admission Strategy Center participated in the “2024 University and Technological College Multiple Entrance Expo” held at the National Taiwan University Sports Center. In addition to planning booth arrangements, various department students were assigned to distribute leaflets, providing preliminary departmental inquiries to visiting high school students, parents, and teachers. Additionally, professors from various departments were arranged to address individual needs such as departmental characteristics or future development, providing answers or recommendations to enhance their understanding of our school and increase their willingness to enroll.

Despite the damp and chilly weather during the expo, many students, accompanied by their parents or classmates, still made their way to our booth to inquire about departments. The scene showed students engaged in discussions with our staff, who efficiently organized consultations according to their needs. The discussion area was bustling with activity, with some consultations even taking place directly in the aisles. In addition to addressing inquiries about specific departments, Dean of Academic Affairs, Dr. Tzong-Ru Tsai, also introduced and responded to questions regarding unique features such as the dual-degree program and flexible curriculum. He aimed to ensure that visitors received satisfactory answers and gained a deeper understanding of studying at our university.

Dr. Chih-Wei Chen, Chair of the Public Administration Department, expressed his hope that participation in this event would create more enrollment opportunities for the department. “Both faculty and students are dedicated to showcasing Tamkang University's features and plans. I believe this will positively impact our enrollment,” he said. Yang, a visiting student, praised Tamkang University's business and management programs' reputation and extensive industry connections. Therefore, he came to inquire about the Banking and Finance Department and hopes for an opportunity to study here. Hsu, a student from Chu-pei Senior High School, commended the detailed introduction provided by the Chemical Engineering Department professors. “While other schools focus solely on chemistry and physics-related departments, Tamkang University explains the differences between similar departments, allowing me to choose a suitable major,” he said. Liao came to inquire about the preparation direction for application documents, hoping to understand the future development trends and prospects of the Educational Technology Department through an explanation by Chair Jian-Bang Deng. Ms. Hong, a parent, collected information about the Aerospace Engineering Department because her child is interested in it. Mr. Wang, another parent, specifically brought his child to understand the development and features of the Business Management Department. With explanations from professors and students, their questions were all answered.
