On Nov 3, 2018 Tamkang University celebrated its 68th anniversary. This year's Anniversary Gala was hosted by the new President of Tamkang University, Dr. Huan-Chao Keh, and featured speeches by President Keh himself, as well as the Chairperson and former President of TKU, Dr. Flora Chia-I Chang, and the President of the TKU Joint Alumni Association, Chen Ding-Chuan.

Held at the Shao-Mo Memorial Gymnasium, Tamsui Campus, attendees to the event included TKU Board of Trustees member, Dr. Wan-Chin Tai, and the Supervisor of the Board of Trustees, Mei-Lan Wang. Six TKU alumni – who were to be presented with Golden Eagle alumni awards for their dedication to Tamkang and to the broader community – were also invited as special guests, along with 19 guests who had greatly contributed to Tamkang University through financial donations.

The celebration got underway with opening remarks from President Keh, who thanked the TKU faculty and staff for all their hard work over the past year, and paid tribute to the Founder of TKU, the late Dr. Clement C.P. Chang, as well as the preceding presidents of Tamkang University, who each helped lay the foundation for Tamkang's current success.

In his speech, President Keh noted the impressive results TKU had racked up in a number of domestic and international university ranking indexes, including the Cheers Magazine "Enterprises' Favorite Graduates" survey, which TKU has topped among private Taiwanese universities for 21 successive years.

Apart from the Anniversary Gala, a number of other activities were held, including an alumni French wine function, an alumni banquet, a French tea get-together, and several other alumni activities that allowed former Tamkang students from various regions to come together and catch up.
