The list of recipients for the 2024 Academic Year Outstanding Youth Award has been announced, with a total of 14 students selected. The awardees were nominated by department mentors, instructors, and faculty members, with selections based on the proportional representation of each college. In addition to excelling academically, the outstanding youths demonstrated remarkable achievements in academic research, participation in various competitions, and community service.

The award recipients are Li-Zhen Peng (Junior, Information and Library Science), Chia-An Lin (Sophomore, Chemistry), Pei-Chi Chung (Second-Year Master's, Electrical and Computer Engineering), Jheng-Da Jiang (Second-Year Master's, Electrical and Computer Engineering), Guan-Jang Li (First-Year Master's, Electrical and Computer Engineering), Xing Liu (Senior, Banking and Finance), Si-En Chen (First-Year Master's, Risk Management and Insurance), Shu-Chen Zheng (Junior, Industrial Economics), Hong-Yuan Xiao (Second-Year Master's, Management Sciences), Hsin-Jung Chiang (Senior, German), Hsuan-Yin Lu (Junior, Japanese), Chiao-Ying Yu (Senior, Global Politics and Economics), Chian-Tzu Huang (Senior, Educational Technology), and Yung-Hsiang Hsu (Senior, AI).

Li-Zhen Peng excels in both academic and extracurricular activities. She served as the president of the Information and Library Science Student Association, leading the association to receive an Excellent Award in the Student Club Evaluation. She pursued the Honors Program curriculum and formed a team to participate in the " 7th Campus Social Business Competition 2024," (「2024第七屆挺好Campus社群商務競賽」) earning second place in the Sustainability Award, third place in the Public Welfare Content Award, and third place in the Public Welfare Achievement Award. Additionally, she was a member of the inaugural "Microsoft Student Partners for Campus Cloud," assisting in promoting related activities.

Chia-An Lin has served as the deputy class representative, secretary of the Chemistry Department Student Association, and both secretary and treasurer for a student club, enthusiastically assisting with departmental and club affairs.

Pei-Chi Chung was actively dedicated to public service and assisted the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering in organizing the "4th International Conference on Electronics, Communications, IoT, and Big Data 2024" and was responsible for coordinating with co-organizing units.

Jheng-Da Jiang demonstrates a proactive learning attitude. He participated in a National Science and Technology Council (NSTC) project, and his academic paper was published in a journal ranked in the top 25% of its field.

Guan-Jang Li actively participates in academic activities and received the Best Paper Award at the "4th International Conference on Electronics, Communications, IoT, and Big Data 2024." He also attended the university's "Deep Learning Institute AI Foundation Certification Workshop" and passed the exam to earn an NVIDIA Deep Learning Institute certification.

Xing Liu has demonstrated excellent academic performance, earning the Ministry of Education's Overseas Exchange Student Scholarship to participate in an exchange program at Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich in Germany. She also served as the Certification Officer of the iPower Club, co-organizing the "Old Shoes Save Lives" charity event to promote sustainable development goals.

Si-En Chen excels in both character and academics, earning multiple insurance-related certifications, the Risk Management & Insurance Scholarship, and the Campus Elite Award. As the Classical Guitar Club president, she led the club in providing charity performances at nursing homes.

Shu-Chen Zheng is dedicated to public service and previously served as the Industrial Economics Department Student Association president, organizing various activities to foster unity within the department. Zheng also held charity sales to raise awareness of stray animals and environmental issues, leading the student association to earn an Excellent Award in the Student Club Evaluation.

Hong-Yuan Xiao actively engages in social service and successfully completed an NSTC College Student Research Project. Xiao was recognized as an Outstanding College Youth by the China Youth Corps and received the Silver Medal for Volunteer Excellence from the Changhua County Government. Through the project "Friendly Food in Zhongliao" (「友食在忠寮」), he secured funding from the Rural Youth Action Incentive Program of the Agency of Rural Development and Soil and Water Conservation under the Ministry of Agriculture and established the youth brand "Doutinliao" (「逗陣寮」). Xiao has deeply invested in the Zhongliao area of Tamsui, contributing to its recognition with the Ministry of Health and Welfare's Gold Award for Excellence in Community Service.
